A wrong date is the most valuable thing you can report. Tell us which occasion it is, what date Semaya shows, what the correct date is, and where you have it from: a mosque notice, a federation’s calendar or an official publication. Those reports take priority over everything else.
That is normal and not a calculation error. Communities interpret the twilight angles differently, and many round on top of that. Go to Settings → Match the times to your community and shift each prayer by minutes on its own. Set once, kept for good. First check whether the calculation method is the one your community uses.
Usually the system permission is missing. Open Settings → Reminders. If a notice appears there with the button “Open device settings”, the permission was declined once. iOS will not ask a second time; it can only be granted again through the system settings. Also check whether a Focus or Do Not Disturb mode is active.
That is deliberate, not a fault. Alevis largely do not observe the five daily prayer times and do not face Mecca. Semaya therefore hides both and shows the Alevi calendar instead: Muharram, Ashura, Hızır, Hıdırellez, Nevruz and Hacı Bektaş Veli. Anyone who wants both can change the path in the settings.
Hold the phone flat and trace a lying figure of eight with it. That is how the device calibrates its magnetic sensor. Metal desktops, magnetic cases and charging pads distort the reading badly. The bearing below the dial is correct even when the needle wavers: it is calculated, not measured.
North of roughly 48 degrees latitude, which covers all of Germany, Scandinavia and Britain, the sun does not sink far enough below the horizon on summer nights. Fajr and Isha then cannot be determined astronomically. Semaya says so plainly and names the approximation it uses.
Semaya follows your phone’s language. Under Settings → Language you can fix one of the eleven languages.
Settings → Start over resets everything and asks the setup questions again. Location and notification permissions are not affected. Those are granted by the operating system, not the app. To reset those too, delete the app and install it again.
Nowhere. There is no account and no server. The only place where anything can leave the device is turning your coordinates into a place name. The operating system does that, and we learn nothing of it. The details are in the privacy policy.
